Six Sunday: Breath(e) Two

Six Sunday: Breath(e) Two

Again this week I have six sentences from the new novel, Breath(e)

At the end of dinner, Elizabeth put her coat back on and prepared to go home.

“Do I get a kiss?” Theo said.

Elizabeth flushed. “Yes,” she said. She braced her arms against the back of his chair and leaned over him, pressing her lips against his. His lips were soft and his breath tasted like coffee and cinnamon.

Ruth, I just wanted to tell you that I recently finished reading (W)hole and it was just so incredible. I’ve never read anything before that so completely articulated all my feelings, even down to 4th of July being my favorite movie. I read the (w)hole thing in one day. I wish I had the courage that Elizabeth has, but I am still very much closeted. Thank you for writing that book though. It made me feel less alone.

Thank you so much for your comment! I’m so glad that you found the book and that it was meaningful for you. I know how hard it is to be in the closet. If you ever want to talk about it, feel free to email me at ruthmadison82@yahoo.com

You don’t give us much, but I do get a real sense of her personality with your snippet.

He wanted a kiss but he just sat there? What kind of game is he playing?

This is the trouble with just seeing a few sentences! lol. He’s a quadriplegic and the chair is a wheelchair. :)
